Soe Aung, M.D.
Dr. Aung has been a member of NeuralWatch since 2012. Dr. Aung is the National Medical Director of NeuralWatch Network. Dr. Aung received his Medical Degree from Myanmar (Burma). He completed a neurology residency at Duke University Medical Center and a clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also board certified in the subspecialties of clinical neurophysiology, neuromuscular medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG), and sleep medicine. Dr. Aung is the Director of a Neurology practice and sleep center in Austin, Texas treating a full range of neurological disorders in adults. Dr. Aung is a clinical assistant professor at Texas A&M School of Medicine and teaches clinical neurology to medical students.
Wendell Bobb, M.D.
Dr. Wendell Bobb became a member of NeuralWatch in 2015. Dr. Bobb received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine (Tallahassee, FL). He went onto complete his neurology residency at Georgetown University Hospital (Washington, DC) and fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine at Duke University Medical Center (Durham, NC). He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He has participated in several research studies throughout his academic career and has presented at annual medical conferences.
Forough Ghavami, D.O.
Dr. Forough Ghavami became a member of NeuralWatch in 2014. Dr. Ghavami received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at University of California, Irvine (Irvine, CA), a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Western University of Health Services at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (Pomona, CA). Dr. Ghavami completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center (Phoenix, AZ), her Neurology Residency at Georgetown University Hospital and DC Veterans Administration Medical Center (Washington, DC) and an Intra-operative Neurophysiological Monitoring and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics (Stanford, CA). She is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Ghavami enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends in her leisure time. She has a strong passion for international medicine and community service.
Ateeq Haseeb, M.D.
Dr. Haseeb has worked for NeuralWatch since 2008. He also works as a pediatric neurologist at Mercy St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, OH. Dr. Haseeb obtained his combined undergraduate and medical degree from the NTR University of Health Services/Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India in 2000. His residencies were in the Dept. of Pediatrics at Cook County Hospital (Chicago, IL) and in Adult and Pediatric Neurology at Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) His fellowship was completed in Clinical Neurophysiology (Epilepsy & EMG) at the Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Haseeb is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and board eligible in Pediatrics. He is also board certified by ABCN in clinical neurophysiology with added competency in epilepsy monitoring. He also holds additional board certification by ABCN in clinical neurophysiology with added competency in intraoperative monitoring.
Jonathan Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson became a member of NeuralWatch in 2010. Prior to that, Dr. Johnson worked as an attending physician at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center for Comprehensive Care in New York, NY. Dr. Johnson obtained his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico. His internship was completed at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center (Brooklyn/Queens, Jamaica, NY) residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center (Stony Brook, NY) and fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics (Madison, WI). He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Howard Kim, M.D.
Dr. Kim joined the Biotronic team in 2011. Dr. Kim has served as Biotronic’s Chief Medical Officer since 2012. He received his medical education at Northwestern University Medical School and completed his neurology residency at Barnes Hospital (St. Louis, MO). He underwent additional subspecialty fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at Legacy-Good Samaritan Hospital (Portland, OR) and Yale-New Haven Hospital (New Haven, CT). Dr. Kim is board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology with an additional subspecialty certification by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. After completion of his postgraduate training, Dr. Kim served as a Major in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center (Lackland AFB, TX) where he was director of the EEG laboratory. After his military service, he began his academic medical career as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School in the Texas Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. Prior to joining Biotronic, Dr. Kim was an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California-Irvine School of Medicine where he served as the director of intraoperative monitoring and clinical director of the UC Irvine Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
Ikuko Laccheo, M.D.
Dr. Laccheo joined NeuralWatch in July of 2015. Previously, Dr. Laccheo had worked for the Epilepsy Center of Excellence at Mcguire Veterans Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia, where she was a director for the epilepsy monitoring unit and intraoperative monitoring. She also worked as an adjunct clinical assistant professor for the Virginia Commonwealth University and taught neurology residents and clinical neurophysiology fellows. She received her medical degree from the University of Kansas. She completed neurology residency at University of Iowa, and clinical neurophysiology/epilepsy fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). She is also board certified in clinical neurophysiology with added competency in epilepsy monitoring and intraoperative monitoring by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology (ABCN). She enjoys horseback riding, sailing, running, and spending time with family.
Vijay Maggio, M.D.
Dr. Maggio has been a member of NeuralWatch since 2008. Prior to intra operative monitoring, she was a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the University of Texas in Houston doing epilepsy monitoring. Dr. Maggio obtained her medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India in 1992. She completed an internship, residency in Neurology, and fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at the University of Texas (Houston, TX). Dr. Maggio is board certified in Neurology and clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (APBN), the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring and the American Board of clinical Neurophysiology with competency in intraoperative monitoring.
Galen Maze-Rothstein, M.D
Dr. Galen Maze-Rothstein became a member of NeuralWatch in 2014. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Maze-Rothstein received his Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed a neurology residency and his fellowship at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He has participated in several research studies for the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, as well as the New England Center for Stroke Research, Boston University School of Medicine Cancer Research Center, and the Department of Comparative Medicine, Genzyme Corporation.
Larry Ridings, M.D.
Dr. Larry Ridings became a member of NeuralWatch in 2013. He is currently also working with the University of Kansas Medical Center as the Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology. Dr. Ridings received his medical degree from the Texas Tech School of Medicine. His post-graduate education included an internship at Texas Tech University, Residency at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, and a Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Ridings holds certifications with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, and the Texas Medical Foundation.
Jason Shen, M.D.
Dr. Shen joined NeuralWatch in April of 2015. Before that, Dr. Shen worked as a clinical assistant professor for the UT Austin Dell Medical School at Austin, TX. Dr. Shen received his medical degree from Texas A&M School of Medicine. He completed his Neurology residency and Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship training at University of Utah Hospital. He is board certified in Neurology with subspecialty certifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, Epilepsy and Vascular Neurology.
Bassel F. Shneker, M.D.
Dr. Bassel F. Shneker became a member of Neural Watch in 2014. Before joining the Neural Watch Team, Dr. Shneker was the Associate Professor of Neurology, Associate Professor of Pharmacy practice, Vice Chair of Financial Affairs in the Department of Neurology, and the Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Ohio State University. Dr. Bassel Shneker received his Medical Degree at the University of Damascus, Syria. His post graduate education included an Internal Medicine internship at Westchester County Medical Center (Valhalla, NY) a Neurology Residency and EEG/Epilepsy Fellowship at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA) He is on the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy foundation of Greater Cincinnati and Columbus, and holds certifications from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduate, The America Board of Neurology, and The American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Shneker is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
